EASL Congress 2025: D-SOLVE members present latest research findings
The European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) Congress 2025, held from May 7-10 in Amsterdam, brought together leading experts and researchers in the field of hepatology. This prestigious event serves as a hub of hepatology innovation, providing a critical platform for sharing groundbreaking research, discussing innovative treatments, and fostering collaborations that advance the understanding and management of liver diseases.
This year, the congress highlighted significant contributions from various members of the D-SOLVE Consortium, who presented their latest research findings on hepatitis delta. Their presentations underscored the ongoing efforts to better understand individual factors determining the outcome of infection and to identify subjects benefitting from currently available treatments.
Many members of the D-SOLVE Consortium attended the congress and actively contributed through various presentations and sessions. Notable speakers included Heiner Wedemeyer, Markus Cornberg, Elisabetta Degasperi, Pietro Lampertico, Lisa Sandmann, Soo Alemann and Maria Anolli. In addition to these insightful talks, consortium members also presented numerous posters, including oral presentations, and chaired several sessions.
Noteworthy is the presentation by Elisabetta Degasperi on the clinical outcomes of chronic hepatitis D, as it is based on the extensive dataset from the D-SOLVE Consortium and the HDV1000 database, which was developed through the collaboration of – amongst others – many members within the D-SOLVE Consortium.
