Translational Seminar Series: The ABC of Viral Hepatitis
In the second seminar we focused on Epidemiology of Hepatitis Delta in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa with the speakers Florin Caruntu from the D-SOLVE consortium (National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Bals”, Bucharest, Romania), Malika Khodjaeva (Research Institute of Virology & Medical Academy, Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Ijeoma Ifeorah (Center for Translation and Implementation Research, Enugu, Nigeria). We learned about the specific aspects and obstacles in those areas and had in depths discussions about steps to be taken for a better management of the disease.
